In Iran, however, Rich was not very successful and could not be a very good replacement for the Nissan Dongfeng pickup, but it still gradually found its place in the market. Now it has been reported that Saipa intends to introduce the latest generation of Rich to our country’s market. This new pickup, known in China as the Rich 6, was first introduced in 2017.
The Rich 6 is based on the current generation, or the third generation of Nissan Navarra, and this commonality is quite obvious from its appearance, especially in the side and rear. However, the Dongfeng pickup on the front of the Rich 6, with its large chrome windshield and polygonal headlights, gives the Navarra a different look. The side profile of this Chinese pickup, however, is basically the same as the Navarra, and at the rear it is very similar to its Japanese counterpart.
The width and wheelbase of the Rich 6, which is 3,150 mm and 1,850 mm, respectively, are exactly the same as the Navarra, but its length of 5,290 mm is slightly longer than the Japanese version. Overall, since the Rich 6 is based on the third generation of Navarra, it looks much more modern and muscular than the old Rich we have seen in Iran.
Dongfeng has designed a different dashboard for the Rich 6 than the Navarra, featuring circular air vents and silver trim. Of course, the overall design of the dashboard does not look very interesting and modern, and shows its lower level than Navarra.
